Fax Machine; decent quality, cheap, reliable, wont jam (fax only preferred)
#1
Anybody have a line on a decent, reliable, cheap fax machine?

Decent pricing on replacement ink carts is a plus...

No jam issues is another humungus plus...

My fax volume is way down but I still need one.

Thanks

Kran,

Dedicated stand-alone fax machines are getting tougher and tougher to find because more and more people want all-in-one machines. Personally, I wouldn't buy a dedicated fax. Even a low-end all-in-one is going to match the vast majority of the features in a dedicated fax and offer the benefit of being a spare printer and scanner.

That Panasonic is a noisy beast. I would go with a Brother Laser fax. I believe they are all Multifunction machines now.

We have several of these at work. Never a problem.

I have a Panasonic plain paper fax machine you can have if you just pay shipping. I'm at work now and don't remember the model number, but it worked without a hitch for the past few years. I now have an all-in-one, so it's just been sitting here since I don't have the heart to throw it out.

PM me if you're interested. I won't be able to give you specifics as to model number and/or shipping weight/costs until after 9pm, though.

We gave up on stand alone fax machines long ago. For the last five + years all our faxing goes in and out of our Macs.
