finally got it. the link is 'edit number' - page search for "Edit rewards number" wasn't helping

hal, the edit link is toward the bottom of one of the first few pages you get. Could be that you're not seeing it because you have to already have a rewards number in order to be able to edit it.

Man, when I do that little trick with the Rewards Number to get my free shipping, it doesn't work for me (probably because I already have a number, I just tried to delete and re-enter my existing number). Bummer, and I could probably use one of these.

I have a rewards number, and when I click edit and enter the same number again, I always get the free shipping... keep trying.
I got two shredders - one for the office and one for home. $10.60.

I was trying to order from my home computer. I tried it in both Safari and Firefox. Each time, I tried to clear the cache, cookies, and history, before loading the Staples page (and then going through the exercise of removing and reentering my rewards number). I must have tried around 10 times...oh well.
I'm tempted to order 10 of these things (and some paper clips) to get free shipping, pawning off the extras at work or something for like $5. Only thing is, if any of my friends have problems with their units (as some have indicated that this is a 'cheap' shredder), then I don't feel like dealing with the hassles.
