Economic Stimulus Leader!?
#1
We spent our tax rebate/refund/windfall/loan from China on a spiffy new 15" MBP!

I got the glossy screen, though I wasn't a big fan until I saw it on my wife's MB.

My copy of XP Pro should be here in a couple of days so I'll get to play around with Bootcamp and/or Parallels (got the MacMall, free after rebate deal).

Yeehaw!

LOL. I doubt there's one person who posts here who doesn't. It's really, really hard not to.

Hmm, I had some Chinese food for lunch today, and oddly, I think that's actually supporting the US economy.

We used ours to pay our property taxes. Does that support the U.S. economy?

I am going to cash mine into 300 or 600 dollar bills, fold them up into my right hand pocket ( so I can feel the lump ), go to my local tavern for happy hour and buy as many 12oz draft beers as I can drink without falling down. The only thing I want to stimulate is my kidneys!

That's what the Smiley is for. I have nothing against China, but I tend to look out for products made in other parts of the world, just to keep things in balance. For example, when I shop for shoes, 1/2 of the models are made in China, with the rest made in Brazil, Italy, Romania or India (just to name a few). I tend to buy from those countries rather than Chine, since they sell a lot anyway. Made in USA I haven't seen in quite a long time.

If my bribe comes before my next estimated tax payment is due, it will probably go straight back to the IRS. Now that's festive.
