My dad was in construction and always brought some home from one job or another. Are they cheap?
How much do cement blocks cost?

Depends on size and color. On sale at a big box home improvement, you should be able to find them for $1 or so for stretchers...

Yep - about $1 a pop at he big box for pick up.
Might get better price from masonry supply if you need a pallet or so delivered. You can find them cheaper online but the shipping is killer :- )

Depends on who's feet you want them attached...

If you're using them for temporary purposes, I've heard that the big box stores buy them back.

They've been that price for like 25 years, what's up with that?

Are you talking about cinder blocks? I just bought some at Lowe's (in VA) for about $1.25/ea. They were 4x8x16.

What exactly do people use these for? Propping up their car in the weeds in their front yards?

Building bomb shelters.
