Eudora - has this ever happened to you?
#1
shut down earlier today got hung up, so I forced down by holding the power key.
I had quit everything before power down.
I launched Eudora this evening (6.2 w/10.5.1, been fine for a week or so that I've been in Leo). In box lost all the previous messages that were still held there. I move most messages into other mailboxes after their arrival. But there was still about 80 in the In box.
Nothing real big. Now gone.
The In box still shows a size of 1M.

Anyone have any ideas how it might be rescued?

I have never had anything like that happen but you might go into your settings and change the one for the number of days that messages get left on the server, to something other than what it is now, and then try closing/re-opening to see if it will download the messages again...

nope, probably coz I hadn't ever checked a number for that box.
They're long off the server.
The only option is a mailbox rebuild, but I can't find a way to force that to happen.

Well looking around it seems that lots of folks are having all kinds of issues with Eudora and 10.5

The developers over at IDS are really pushing hard to get there Eudora "replacement" out the door, having just released a public BETA of Odysseus that is being updated nightly.
