Conversation with a semi-clueless geek at work the other day. Kids wants to sell his self-built box. He asked how much he could get for it. I told him maybe $50 to $100.
Then explained why it was worth more parting it out. (sigh).

it would have been easier to simply point to a cliff's edge.

It might be worth something if it has a good collection of really well thought out parts, comes with a OEM copy of Windows and has freeware virus and spyware installed. Add $100 to the price if he can get it running as a Hackintosh! (
