Would these three monitors be comparable in quality?
#1
The 2007W showed up on the dealmac page today . . .
Supposedly it's the same panel as in the white 20" iMac.
As you're surely tired of hearing, since I got the iMac I can't stand looking at my Acer 20" monitor (wondering if I messed up the settings but Ive fiddled and fiddled-- just looks ugly now).
I think the 2207 would probably be the best option fof these three choices:

BUT I'm not sure if it's comparable to the 2207 in quality. I've got the monitor about 18" from my nose so the 24" would be overkill; Thanks for any opinions.

1680 x 1050 on a 20" would be hard for my eyes to handle, I think, but ymmv. I've read the quality is a little better on the 22", but I thought the HPs all looked pretty good. The color was a little washed out, but I think it may have been worse on the 1907w, which you aren't looking at. kj.

None of those monitors use an S-IPS panel like the Apple Cinema Displays or S-PVA screen like your iMac has. Take a look at this list if you want something that is going to be on par with the iMac: http://www.pchardwarehelp.com/guides/s-ips-lcd-list.php

Note that there is now also an H-IPS panel which is an improved version of the S-IPS, that Apple may be using but I have not been able to confirm this...

A thousand times thank you for that link.
I've clearly confused the 2007wfp with the w2007.
The 2007wfp appears to be completely unavailable through any source at this point?

This is a good link too:

http://www.flatpanels.dk/panels.php

You can just type in the make and model and it tells you what panel is used. kj.
