Sorry, another Parallels question.
#1
As you may know, I have been helping a switcher set up her very first Mac. She has a new MacBook, which is much newer than my lowly iBook and I am unfamiliar with Parallels and running Windows (she chose Vista.)

We got her wireless network set up in her home but she needs to use a Verizon wireless USB card at her office and remote locations she works from occasionally. She said she can get online on the Mac side, but not on the Parallels/Windows side.

Anyone know what the settings should be to make this work?

TIA-

Does she have Parallels set to use the host machine's network?

No, that option is grayed out. FWIW, she is using a Verizon UM150 USB Modem with enhanced EV-DO Rev A technology. (whatever that means)

Did you install Parallels Tools on the Windows side?

Yes, Parallels tools is installed on the Windows side.

No idea how, but we were able to get her online on the Verizon card/modem on both the Windows and Mac side last night. When we tried to switch back to her wireless network, we lost everything. We were able to get the Mac side back online through the wireless network, but not the Windows side.

While she is at home, she plans to use her wireless network. While she is on the road and visiting clients, she plans to use the Verizon piece, so she'll be switching between the two frequently.

Very frustrating....
