I need velcro cable ties - which B&M is most likely to carry them?
#1
I've never looked for these before, so I don't know if I'm more likely to find them at a place like Office Depot or at Lowe's or Target. (That's as far as I'm willing to roam for something like this!) I don't want to use them for cables, so I need some that are as wide and long as possible. Thanks!

Boating stores sell long velcro ties about an inch wide. I used them for everything imaginable on the boat, strapping down oars in the dinghy to tieing the sail to the boom before covering it. I think some are as long as 30 inches.

Here's an example I found at a recreational supply website. They will likely be found at camping supply departments (Wally World or the like)

Perfect! Now to find a boating store. I think there's one pretty close by, too. Thank you!

I get them at Target. (8in, for wires). They have them in two areas of the store, A/V and Hardware. The ones in A/V are way overpriced. The one's in hardware are fairly reasonably priced but can be hard to find. They are sometime mixed in with the Velcro, sometimes with tape (like electrical, not cellohane), and other times with the screw and nail assortments.

Yeah. 'Just saw them at Target right next to the 3M hooks in hardware.

FYI, just after xmas you can find the green ones in the clearance section. I bought a couple of boxes last year. They're still in use.

I hadn't realized how easy they were to find. I have to go to Lowe's anyway, so that's where I'll look first. If I don't find any that are big enough, I'll take olnaci's advice and look for someplace with a decent selection of boating or camping gear. (I don't think I'm ready for Wally's; that seems extreme.)

Once I remembered these things exist, I've thought of all kinds of uses for them and am surprised I don't already have a ton!

Produce Dept. at my local supermarket uses velcro straps for bundling leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, and the like (beet greens, chard, ...); I just keep 2 or 3 in a drawer for quick rebundling around the house. they are about 10-12 inches long. even used them as cat collars.
