Just curious, can you mount those speakers on the wall as well or do they need the space behind them for acoustics? I'd love to have a setup all on the wall like that. WIth that even a very small room could be a home theater room.

Just curious, how big is the TV? I'm thinking it's a 37".

Speakers are a planar type. Should be equal amounts of sound from front and back, with a bit of a null on the sides. Beerman, are those Maggies?
And Accuphase amp and tuner?

The one thing that keeps me from putting a TV on the wall is the wires and cables. It just ruins the look.

It wouldn't be that tough to put some kind of box 12" up from the floor behind the cabinet and another just behind the wall mounted tv.
They make boxes that have small flip out clamps that grip the sheetrock.
Use a fish tape or a stiff piece of wire to go from the bottom box to the top.
they make plain box covers. Drill a small hole or even a couple of holes in the face plate.
There you have it.
Everything hidden.

OT How do you like the slide by windows? Do you know the brand? I'm replacing all the windows in my place and FL laws require egress in all bedroom windows, Slide by will meet that requirement for my size rough opening while double hung won't.

We mounted our Plasma HDTV, with the wiring embedded behind the drywall, for a clean look. It's definitely worth the effort, it's the finishing touch. It's actually very easy to do, with the help of an electrician. You just need a fist-sized circular hole behind the TV (don't use a fist to make a hole, there are better tools!) and another opening just above the baseboard, near the floor. Then fish (thread) the wiring through behind the wall down to the baseboard. No patching or repainting necessary, really, except touch up. And you can use various types of face plates, too. And the hole behind the TV is obviously hidden behind the TV. The clean look makes all the difference. If the wiring is exposed, visible, hanging out, it defeats the purpose.
We did it during a remodel, so we had that as an advantage. We'd just had the wall built at the same time, it was a new wall. And it was to replace a living room (and kitchen, and bathroom, etc.) because our house had burned down. All new construction. So my method of remodeling mounting a Plasma TV--though it looks really good!--is one I definitely don't recommend! You can easily achieve the same results without burning your house down first!
Next project for you, beerman, get a decent entertainment cabinet. That one looks like can barely hold the components you've stacked on there. Piano black would look REALLY good, it would match the speakers and HDTV frame perfectly!
