WTF?

This C2D MBP 2.4 should full of more "BAM" when loading an app then Emeril's spice rack.

I've never used BAM in my cooking. Is that spice better suited for fish, beef, poultry or giant tropic grubs?

I moved from a 1 GHz 12" PB to a black 2.16 GHz C2D MB. Besides a wider, brighter screen and more weight, haven't noticed much. And yes, I do get plenty of BB.

most stuff is just abounce and a half in the dock to launch something, like Photoshop 7, then it loads through the splash screen. Thats a big improvement. But some stuff I get a beachball and it spins for maybe 5-20 seconds before it takes off. the drive is maybe /3 full.

10.4.11, MPB 2.4 C2D. 4 gigs of RAM and 150 gig drive with about 50 gigs free.

Check that "some stuff" for duplicate apps, one old and one newer, or prefs, etc.

Try running that "some stuff" with a different User. If no bbs, then the problem is in your Home folder, and 200GBs of RAM aint gonna fix it.

PS 7 is just fine with 4 gigs of RAM, with 2 it took a bit longer to get it going. Understandable.

Is it possible that the new RAM is not interleaving properly?
