sounds like this was the second time that part of the studios burned too. So these were replacement sets already.

From what I saw on local news footage, the clock on the tower stopped at exactly 4:42, and remains intact. Sadly, the rest of the square is gone.
But - I worked on rebuilding the backlot (NY Street) back in '90 and hope to do so again (and hopefully for the last time).
