Does anyone make a truly no-kink garden hose?
#1
I swear, every one I've bought for the last 2-3 years touts "does not kink"-- but they =all= do.
Anyone come across a truly superior hose? I'd even pay more than $10 for it.. .

I picked up one that coils itself back up and looks like a spring.

No kinks, I don't think it's even possible under normal circumstances.

Seen those. Not quite right for me as it needs to stretch at least 50 feet, around corners, without knocking stuff over, and also at times I leave it dripping on a spot that needs a soaking (I've never been able to find a spray head that doesn't include a non-optional "drip" feature either . . .)

How about a more permanent underground pipe to those farther reaches of the yard?

Wait, I'm confused- you didn't not non-want that?

It's kind of a dumb setup--- it's got to go down the side of the building and around back to a patio covered with large containers-- all over concrete. But I suppose I could put a splitter on the spout and have a dedicated hose heading around back and another for the side yard...

No, I absolutely did want not that.

Years ago when I watered plants at an estate, they had heavy duty rubber garden hoses that seldom kinked, there is always the exception. They are quite heavy to pull, but in a large diamiter they really provide the H2O, asuming the supply is there.

Something like this...

And, don't leave them over the driveway where cars can drive over them!

I bought a 125' garden hose from Sams for around $20. Kind of a heavy rubber and it has not kinked. Been using over a year now. Brother bought two and is equally impressed. Black. See them in Sams all the time... not just seasonal.

I've found too, that the rubber ones tend to kink a lot less and when they do, water pressure usually knocks the kink out. The vinyl ones tend to kink a lot more and even water pressure won't knock it out.

You might consider putting down soaker hosts to water plants and sprinklers for the grass. i only use hoses for touch up work.

I'm with mikebw. If you're able to this is a fantastic solution. Run some PVC and set up another spigot and use a 15' hose nearer to the job.
