AAAAAArrrrrgggghhhhh!
#1
So I am leaving for two weeks in Europe. I load my apps, music, audiobooks, movies, documents, etc, on my Touch. I get to the airport waiting to leave, turn on my Touch launch the weather app and zap!, it locks up. I restart it and now it says I have no music, no movies, and none of the apps will load except safari and mail. Restarted it 5 times, no good. Looks like a restore, but I can't do it till I get home. So now I have to carry this #$%*! brick around for the whole trip. Not pleased, not pleased at all. Thank you for listening to my rant, brought to you by the fine folks at the iPhone 2 software division.

Oh, my. Sympathies. I had my Touch zap my apps both free and paid this week. I just hope when I leave for Europe in 2 weeks that doesn't happen to me. But have fun anyway.

PS: I'll have my miniVaio with me however, and iTunes software so I'll not be lost like you are sadly now.

Can't you go to an Apple store abroad and get some assistance?

download Simply Media, AOL radio, and Pandora from the App Store. That should at least get you some good tunes to listen to.

Would "Push", "Fetch", "Cloud" (whatever they're calling it now) via MobileMe be able to help you restore files wirelessly? (assuming of course, that MM would be working).

I think you spelled "AAAAAArrrrrgggghhhhh!" wrong

I usually travel with a DVD with stuff I couldn't live without and might be able to restore at a internet cafe“ or a hotel/hostel computer spot.

Write the message... "Help me restore my iPod/Touch" on a piece of cardboard and stand in a public place and assistance will not be far away!

And, I think that "AAAAAArrrrrgggghhhhh" is spelled correctly? IMHO

Maybe it's a southern drawl?
