Home vegetable gardens are a beautiful thing. ( Slight BW warning. 1.2mb )

Started a veggie garden this year for the first time at this home.

Now that most of the house renovations are done I had the time to get started again.

It's a joy to eat something you have grown yourself and the time spent tending the garden is very relaxing.

This nook in the yard made a great place for a garden.

There is nothing like the taste of a fresh garden tomato.

Sesame leaves.
Roll some rice and hot pepper paste in a fresh leaf. (A great sensation)

Korean pickling cucumbers. (Bought seeds while I was in Korea this spring)

Grape tomatoes are the best!

Had so many cucumbers I had to make pickles
It will be very hard to wait the 2 months to try these.

Nice job! Those pics look like they belong in a magazine!

I suddenly have a desire for fresh off the vine grape tomatoes.

That's a nice way to use a sunny corner of the yard. Looks delicious too. Amazing how much produce a person can grow in a little, manageable garden.

Those pickles look a little light on dill! Smile

I find it interesting that what one person finds relaxing another finds stressful. I don't even have any flowers in the couple of planters I have this year, because, to me, working outdoors is simply one more chore. And growing food? That reminds me of cooking, which is another thing I find to be simply a necessary evil of life. I certainly have done my share of it through the years, but I'm not even all that wild about eating.

The garden is lovely, and I'm glad you enjoyed not just the process of growing your own veggies but also the eating of them. Nice work.
