Just had the BEST dinner! Seared Ahi Tuna...
#1
Just was called upon to come get some "surplus" food from a dinner my parents had... (two people didn't show up...).

Seared Ahi Tuna with crushed pepper.
Side dish of Ahi Carpaccio (sp?)... basically italian sashimi. With chopped green onion, capers, and garlic as a spread/dip for it.
Fresh organic tomatoes and fresh radishes
Pickled cucumber and red bell pepper made just last week.
AND
Costco Pugliesi (sp?) bread.

I am SO stuffed...
Dang it was good!

Go get some fresh vegetables, and some Ahi, and some fresh bread... you won't regret it.
Well, unless you hate Ahi... (heathens...).

Jack D.;

Ahi is the fish that eats like a Steak... And I don't say that lightly!
If you ever choose to give "fish" another try, try Ahi Tuna.

Rather than my usual sandwich and chips (or something equally uninspired), I just made salmon fillets seasoned with some soy sauce and brown sugar and now that it's cooked, dipped in a raspberry chipotle sauce, plus microwaved rice (first time I've done it that way, and it turned out perfectly respectably), and microwaved broccoli (which I've been doing that way for a few months, and is SO easy).

It all turned out well, and is quite tasty.

aha, so you ate two servings, and that makes you feel good. I can drink beer for two people and THAT makes me feel just as good.

Actually, I only ate ONE of the servings... (One was big enough!).

I could eat BOTH servings, and still legally drive home though... :-)

Paul, If you ever get the chance to eat fresh Hawaiian Ono, do it! It makes Ahi seem like chum.
