So they are actually going to kill CDs so that they can nullify the argument that 80% of the music they sell doesn't contain DRM...

Are you sure about this? Many sources publish CD writing specs for this unit. Where do you see that it doesn't play them back?

'Got me off my lazy ass to check.

They do burn and read CD-Rs.

...But there's no headphone or RCA audio jacks on it.

It won't play analog audio out.

amazing how after the craze for CD writing hit 70x with the Kenwood, that it went back to 48, and now
more commonly, even 24x as the max.

I wonder why the above specs didn't include CD specs? Strange.... I checked two retailers too,

how many people are gong to buy a Blu-Ray player to play CDs on?

and who doesn't already have about five ways to play CDs?

I generally don't use a $3000 oven to toast bread in, I keep a $29.00 toaster on my counter for that.

Am I making toast wrong?
