I am setting it up for a small publishing company.
They blew the budget out on this one.
Maxed out RAM. Installing the CS3 apps and Quark 8 on the machine.
Production manager's previous machine was a Dual G5 2.0 coupled with an old 21" Mitsubishi Diamondtron monitor.
She is going to love it. Hell, I love it. Always nice to see a new Mac put into service.

iMacs are really replacing the MacPro almost everywhere in the creative field. Quite a few agencies & photogs I work with ditched their towers.

I just replaced my G5 iMac with a 20" intel iMac. The G5 was starting to have video issues. I should have replaced it a long time ago, but I figured as long as it was working, it was fine.
The G5 never seemed "right" to me. Definately not Apple's best work, but the best with what they had at the time. My G3 and G4 iMacs are still running strong, serving other family members.

And I can concur that the monitor on the 24s is visibly better than the 20s (they use different monitor technologies). However, for most office work, the 20s are fine. They're quite clear. It's just that the 24s are a notch better.

I still love the ability to set up dual monitors...
Can't you add a monitor and expand the desktop with the iMacs?
I'd like Apple to produce a "matching" monitor that mirrors the appearance of the iMac. Maybe even enclose decent stereo speakers in the lower portion.
