I'd rather spend $2K for a nice new Ric 360/12 http://www.rickenbacker.com/model_all.asp?series=300 that gets played everyday.

These Strats will be bought by the same folks who decorate their walls with PRS '10 Top' guitars costing even more.

I have a '71 360/12 in Fireglo. It is a hybrid - has the old style neck but the newer pickups. I bought it for $400. from We Buy Guitars in NYC in '78. Yeah, a great guitar.

My Squier ProTone is pretty much there, its blonde, not black, but it was $3900.00 cheaper.

BUT the strings are only $4.99.

For some reason, I'm not impressed.

Well, I, for one, think it's cool.

Not about to buy one, mind you (my '91 American Standard is a better guitar than I deserve), but it's still cool...
