Just got my flu shot. How about YOU?

I don't know if it helps or not but I get it ever year. At my age it is highly recommended. (if you are not allergic to eggs)

Given that the flu in the general population mutates to a form that's immune to vaccines every 18 months or so and that new vaccines take up to 2 years to catch up to any particular strain of influenza, and that demand has negatively impacted quality control in years-passed so that more and more animal protein and live viruses are turning up in vaccines and that under the Bush administration and thanks to the last Congress vaccine-producers now enjoy unprecedented immunity from lawsuits for negligence and recklessness, I don't seen much point to it anymore.

Next week for me too. Although, I got the shot last year and still came down with a full blown case of the flu. Confirmed by a nose swab at my doctor's. Fortunately, I recognized the symptoms early, and Tamiflu greatly reduced the severity and duration. Hopefully, they pick the right strain this year.

Got mine at work Thursday. I've had the flue and I could do without it again so a little
prevention can't hurt anything but my arm..

Really useless, more of a placebo, not a Prevention.

Weird. My previous post in this thread -- which was successfully submitted and appeared 3rd from the top before -- has disappeared.

Did somebody consider my (run on sentence) suggestion that the vaccines are less than useless to be incendiary?
