Hello,
My Laserwriter 16/600 which is hooked to my wireless router via ethernet cable seems to be taking 5 times as long to print as before. I send print jobs to it via my G4 Powerbook using the airport card.
If I look at the printer status on the desktop it seems to send all the extra time " Preparing data " . What used to take 1 or 2 minutes to print can be like 5 to 10 minutes now. The printer has 32mb Ram (maxed out).
Most of what I print are Invoices and such of PayPal website and Postage Labels via PayPal/Pitney Bowes. I sent a 1 page Word document to the printer as a test and it took about 2-1/2 minutes to print out. A single PayPal Invoice page took 5 minutes and the PayPal/Pitney Bowes shipping label/receipt was just about 9 minutes.
I've deleted all the completed print jobs, cycled machine off and on to no avail.
Any suggestions as what to try? Thanks in advance.
