It gets better by the day. We are in 1989 all over again.

Hi Devobill,
Is there more to this thought? I'd be interested in the logic of why the democrats would want to see poverty spread.

Curious-- what means "too"?
Are you currently dealing with someone in your life who is paranoid?

The article was not so much about poverty as it was the statistic 30 million on Food stamps. The D's want as much "BS news" like this as they can to protect their power. What is thirty million as a per cent of the population? Your next question should be what was the per cent of the population on food stamps during 1994?

Exactly what the D's want.

"surpassing the historic high set in 2005" - Republican administration

"likely to see the most hunger that we've seen since the 1981 recession" - Ronald Reagan 1981 through 1989

"and maybe since the 1960s, when these programs were established." - Democratic administration

"every $1 spent on food stamp benefits generates $1.73 of economic activity, more than extending unemployment benefits or offering state fiscal relief."

I'm failing to get your point.
