Does the "office of President-Elect" signs logos etc bother you?

It bothers me. Maybe it is marketing but I think it is ticky tacky and have those this with his seal during the campaign. Isn't this something new? other president-elects haven't done this that I remember. They have been called "president-elect" but haven't had cocktail napkins printed with that on it. (just a pun reference on napkins)

No.

I have a LOT more things that bother me beyond something so trivial as this.

Not really. He's probably trying to make sure people understand he's not President yet. Large swaths of the public seem unclear about the election process.

The first time I see it, and we have been at this since 1789.

Not at all, but then again, I am a marketing person so if they weren't there, I'd think it odd.

Does it bother you because he IS the president elect?

I believe that it helps to avoid confusion at this point.

Obama is out front making statements about policy issues, the economy, etc ... yet these will not take effect
until he is actually takes the oath of office in January.

By having this identifier it will help to eliminate confusion with the statements Bush makes about these issues.
if Bush were to get around to making any such statements. It's a just in case measure.

It doesn't bother me. People have already been making snide remarks about why he had not fixed the economy already. It is actually a good thing to remind folks that he is not the President. Yet.
