Okay, this is could be somewhat embarrassing. I decided to try the whole online dating scene, and so far it has been somewhat interesting, a bit awkward, and somewhat strange. Anyway, I've been e-mailing with a really cool woman for a week or so now, and she said she'd like to talk on the phone, and gave me her number. Great...but I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce her name! It's "Maura." Am I right that it rhymes with Laura? Thanks for the help...

p.s. I guess I should be happy it isn't Delores (as in the Seinfeld episode). Or Mulva, for that matter...

Well, I know two Maura's, one says "Mora", the other says "Mara", then a friend named Laura, pronounces her name "Lod-Ah", so instead of flipping out, why don't you ask her?

Ask her. It's an ice-breaker.

Probably ( like Laura.)
Best to ask. For all you know, she pronounces it "Ben".
