I think the writers have themselves in a hole on this one. It'll be insteresting to see how they get out of it. The one thing that really annoys me about 24 is that the same themes crop up every season. There is always 1) troubled youth, 2) A mole inside CTU, 3) An internal threat to the President, 4) a traumatic event at CTU HQ, 5) An overbearing b'crat taking over CTU mid-story, 6) conflict over love and duty. 7) Jack accusing someone of knowing something, beating them up, and only later finding out they really didn't know anything. I'm probably forgetting a few more. |
