How many of you have a USB hub?
#1
I have my share of USB periphery- camera, keyboard, SD card reader, tablet, printer, HD; but so far I have managed not to ever need a separate USB hub.

My Dell monitor has 4 ports on it, and the Apple Keyboard has two, plus the ones on my G5, I guess that's all I need.

How much stuff do you guys have that you need a hub? I'm just glad I don't need another thing to go on the power strip(s).

yes but I rarely, if ever, use it. I've had to use it on my laptop a few times. Other than that, I haven't needed it on my desktop.

I have a Hewlett Packard USB 2.0 powered hub (4 port)

Lessee, what's dangling off of it with my iMac? Photo Card Reader, Palm Centro cable, Printer cable, iPod Touch (iTouch ) cable. on the back of the machine itself there is a wireless Logitech dongle, Epson Scanner cable and the cable that connects the hub itself. Could use a few more actually.

My Intel iMac has 3 USB sockets. One goes to the keyboard and the other two go to hubs. One hub has my iPod cable, printer and graphics tablet (one socket spare) and the other has three external HDs and my digital camera cable. There are two spare sockets on the keyboard but as that is in front of the screen I prefer not to use them to keep the number of visible cables to a minimum. They are also unpowered whereas the hubs are powered. My scanner is Firewire.

I have two. Three USB ports in the back of the iMac. Into those ports are two hubs and my EyeTV Hybrid. Into hub #1 is my keyboard and mouse (non-Mac). Into hub #2 is my printer, card reader and Lexicon Alpha audio interface.
