How does a good designer compete with THIS?
#1
I've got a few friends who fancy themselves decent designers. And being a designer myself, i would agree. But i wonder how we are supposed to compete when a buddy of mine gives a REALLY good quote to a potential client and the guy turns around and goes THIS route instead... http://goperfspec.com/. He MUST have gotten it free.

worst episode ever?

go to craigslist and look under: Services >> Creative and look at the portfolios -- not sure how any of those people expect to get design work... but i bet they do...

Jeez. Does the designer not know how to hide a work-in-progress site until it's ready to go live? I hope the client hasn't given out the URL yet.

I have seen active online retail stores pulling in thousands of dollars a week that were only a little more complete. :dunno:

Without knowing how far into the development cycle that is and what the client's demands are, I'd say the one mistake that was clearly made was going live with it at this point.
