Q: Think we'll ever see another update to AppleWorks?
#1
SO...
What do you think?

Has Pages killed AppleWorks for good?

Will we see a "new" combo-app to JOIN Pages and Keynote as part of iWork?

OR

Will we see AppleWorks dusted off, updated (to a greater or lesser degree) and marketed actively again?

My bet?
Apple will cut Appleworks loose (cut it looser than it is now?), and release a new suite to join Pages and Keynote.

This all comes to mind because I'm updating a lot of apps to go in my next "standard package" of software for a computer lab... and noticed that AppleWorks 6.2.9 is getting pretty long in tooth...

Personally, think hypercard will be integrated into the new version of AppleWorks.

Yes, it will be a universal binary any day now, except they're renaming it ClarisWorks.

Ah yes....the second coming of the dogcow!

She shall rise up upon a USBScale which shall read "128".

Her followers will be instructed on page orientation (lanscape, portrait) and how it applies as a life philosophy.

It will be released right after the OS X version of ClarisDraw ships.

I will be integrated with MacWeb browser, eworld and a reworked Aaron init for OS X.

Pages and Keynote might get another family member, but AppleWorks is at the very least in a deep coma, if not officially dead.

Pages & Keynote need a spreadsheet module and a free-drawing module. Then iWork will be the new AppleWorks.
