iTunes 6.0.4, can't rename songs
#1
So I just upgraded from 4.7 to 6.0.4, and now I can't rename any of the songs in my library, what gives?!

I tried clicking on the song name field and waiting a second, also tried going to Get Info, but I can't click in any of the fields. This happens for all the songs I have tried. I have over 10,000 so I can't really try them all, but you get the idea.

Make sure you are in the Library and NOT a Playlist or SmartPlaylist.

Hmmm, I had that problem before also but it works both was now.

Also I use slower double click,

click... pause... click.

If the user account you're in when you try to do this doesn't have admin rights, you won't be able to relabel in iTunes.

Whenever an application as important as iTunes starts acting flaky, I assume the worst, and get out my copy of DiskWarrior v3.0.3 Rev. 39 and let it rip on the Directory of my HDrive. I can't tell you how many times DWarrior's made things right, when they were wrong, even with just a few percent of things being out of order.

Sometimes that small percentage of things out of order are very, very important items.

Should probabli mention this has started happening after my boto drive had some bad blocks on it. Long story short I basically zeroed out the drive, then restored it from a disk image I had made prior.

I'll give those suggestions a try. I'm sure that my account is the admin, but I should check permissions, also sure I was looking in the main Library. Maybe I'll run DiskWarrior again just to see.
