When I lived in Napa, I woke up to that sound many a Saturday...Loved it.

In the Albuquerque area, there are balloons in the skies almost every morning, provided the weather is nice. We've had quite a few land behind my boyfriend's back yard. In fact, one came down close by at around 7:30 this morning. 2 of the dogs have to go bark at close balloons while the other dog, the german shepherd, runs for cover. I think he thinks they're UFOs out to abduct him.

Somewhere i have photos of a craft fair/hot air balloon event where there were over a dozen balloons next to each other inflating and rising. It was pretty close to magical.

Yeah. It's fairly often to see them, but usually they land in other people's backyards.

This was actually, friday. So I got woken up at 6:30 in the morning or something on a friday morning on my summer break.

One of these days I will go up in one.
