On the way to my local pet supply store in my peculiar Brooklyn, NY neighborhood,
I spotted this bicycle, which, having been unnaturally merged with another metallic entity,
can only be described as a WTF??!-cycle. Looks like it's fun to ride. ;-)

Must be for riding around and posting ads / signs up higher than the competition. I see they have a fold-down support brace on the back.

Mikebw, that makes sense, although the front of the bike would be unstable even if braced. I'd hate to be the one to climb up that ladder or ride the bike too--it looks like the rider's lower back would be jammed up against the ladder steps.

The rider sits on top and pedals with stilts.
Steering might be a problem, though. Maybe he uses ropes.

Looks like that extra piece folds down to serve as an extra brace-- thinking this may be someone who genuinely rides around and uses the bike as a ladder. Roofer? Tree trimmer? Gutter guy?

Or maybe it's a taxi, and that's seating for passengers.

It is for snooty bicyclists with high opinion of themselves.

Doesn't really make sense to me. Looks unstable, even with the brace. And, if it's used for any type of work, where does one carry their tools?
