"put in shopping cart to see price" sucks.
#1
I was just looking at Amazon for iBooks and some outfit made me put an iBook in my cart to see price. So now they are hoping I guess to inadvertently buy this sometime for only $10 off list!

They have some BS story to say why they do this but I put this scam it right up there with phishing. $10 off! Incredible.

By the way the way the outfit is "Computers and add-ons".

How do I get it out of the cart without risk?

Not to worry I got it out of there very easily. Mint needs coffee, better a breakfast "screwdriver" with that valuable vitamin C and important nutrient Vdoka.

What risk are you talking about?

Remove from cart button?
Set amount to zero and reload cart?

hmm... remember the good old days, when you'd get a catalog in the mail, and you'd have to call to get some of the prices, b/c they were below the manufacturer recommended advertising prices?

yea, I'd rather put something in my online cart than take the time to make a phone call to find out a price.

Amazon is so dmn good at sales they scare me. I never believed marketing could be so comprehensive and sophisticated. I cannot count the impulse books and CD's I have bought because it is so easy. Right now I am ready to move on a book and CD I really do not need.

I am but a simple Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer.
Your Amazon.com frightens me with their scary "One Click® Ordering," "The Page you Made" and now "the Plog™!"

I toss my impulse buys into my Wish List and let them soak for a while. If I still wnan it "later", then I'll move on it. Helps reduce impulse buying while still keeping track of cool stuff that, in the end, I may want.
