News stories at Google News - "Jon Gosselin"
#1
For some reason this person gets a lot of news stories printed about his life. mick e doesn't have cable or satellite TV, but from what he has been able to ascertain, this guy is famous for:

A) Sticking his peen into the vajayjay of some chick who pumped out seven rugrats.

B) Cheating on her and ultimately dumping her.

C) Carousing with random skanks.

Somehow he is courted by famous french designers and big-business moguls for having performed these amazing feats of wonder.

I feel the same way; I think that might be a Kate/Jon guy????

And I have seen news for some women, that get a lot of news, that I have no idea about, either. Same name as OJ's lawyer. Kardashian. Might be spelt differently but sounds similar?

They seem to be famous for being famous-ish.

In America, it usually doesn't take that many acts to get into the "news".

I was thinking the same "WTF" thing you are. His wife comes off as a bitch. They already had twins (I think from invitro... sp?). She for some reason wanted another "ONE"... Talked Jon into having another one which turned into SIX...

He always looked annoyed when she "talked down to him"... Whenever she stated that "I think he sometimes resents me and that I talked him into another one and we ended up with six more" he also rolled his eyes almost as if he's saying "Yes, you bitch... I love the kids... But why didn't we stop at two".

Oh well... Not news worthy if you ask me.

Especially when that pitiful news can make some poor down trodden hill billy feel better about his own miserable lack of a life.

I suspect that if you've seen the show, you'd be sympathizing with him.

Welcome to the age of struggling news organizations. All of them are doing this online to "get the clicks that pay the bills" because less people click on other stories unless they are hot button issues.

A typical newsite will get the most clicks from the following 3 stories, sports, hot button and celebrity gossip.

The Associated Press even hired more people to cover entertainment due to this demand. In an ideal world we would all read the poignant and issue driven stories but on the internet, we tend not to. Follow the money.

I no longer watch (broadcast, cable, satellite) TV either.
A trip to the supermarket one day revealed the existence of these people to me.

PS I am not an anti-television, elitist snob. I tend to watch old TV shows on DVD, which is much more satisfying as I have control over how and when to watch + no annoying ads. The no annoying ads part has made a big difference in my life, especially.
