I've read all the docs. But I don't see any sign of it for eBay items I'm interested in; is it currently being offered for eBay? Only a few select vendors?
If searching for auction or BIN listings, when should the Bing Cashback symbol be visible when that item is eligible for it -does it show on that item's listing page, or do you have to buy it first?
The Bing Shopping page searches only bring up web retailers (with incorrect prices).

You have to click through Bing.com for the symbol to show up.
I'm not sure what item you're looking for, so as an example, I'll use "macbook pro."
-go to
http://www.bing.com/
-type "macbook pro" in the search box and this is what you get:
http://www.bing.com/search?q=macbook+pro&form=QBLH&qs=n
Notice at the top, in the beige colored "sponsored sites" box, there is a link for Macbook Pro at
www.eBay.com with the Bing symbol next to it. You need to click that link. When you click through, you arrive here:
http://shop.ebay.com/items/macbook+pro?_dmd=1&_sop=12&rvr_id=&cbp=8.0&rawquery=macbook+pro&sig=5021c68dfab4fcfe133a1bc0f176ce0167c04fdda55a0e5b009aaf9ef7cd75588000c469ea12631933f386a217feaedbb9a55d99ca20c096bd13564cf957d1a281f16eb5e1a555cfe4ab47fb1a75050b8f771cb247310bf62e83e5de776ac01aaf2f03523c197c9aa5528ac39356fc2c0b40e2733ec300f96b61ac6a77c786a1%7C1&mscbg=1&crlp=356923302_9405&MT_ID=8&tt_encode=utf8&seg_id=0&msclkid=a345fc89b3e96a48bae898c6949dab21&its=20090724171148&keyword=macbook+pro
You should see the Bing symbol at the top of the eBay page showing the 8% off.
That's all there is to it. You basically have to search for your item via Bing, see if it shows up in the beige box at top and then click through that link to activate the session (which, by the way, will time out after 60 minutes or so).
HTH.

Yep Pinkoos directions work well.
Also note that Adblock causes problems with Bing Cashback displaying so try a browser without Adblock.

Ah, thanks. I think the problem was I had first clicked Bing's "Shopping" link, which only brought up the list of web retailers w/the searched-for product. On another (Home?) page, there was an "eBay" link, which then brought up a Search Within eBay box, and that did it.
It appears that any listing w/a Buy it Now offered is eligible, incl from private sellers -true?

Just be aware that you pay the full price and receive the 8% cashback in 60 days.

Here's what puzzles me.
The Bing symbol is accompanied by this statement: "You may get 8% off with PayPal if eligible."
May? If?
How do I know for sure that I'll get that discount/rebate? How do I know if I'm eligible? Are they going to say, Sorry, you don't have the right hair color, or something?
I simply could not find what constituted eligibility the one time I considered using this discount earlier. Can anybody explain this part of the thing?

I've never not gotten the cashback when I was logged into my bing/cashback account and clicked through. I've probably done a dozen or so transactions or so and always gotten the cashback. Sometimes instantly in my paypal account, other times within 60 days.
The bing cashback always shows up on the item page and as you're checking out through ebay. You can confirm that you're going to get the cashback before you complete the purchase through ebay/paypal. It will show up as part of the invoice.
