I ordered some cables from Monoprice on the 22nd and splurged for next day air since the cost of two cables and the shipping would still be less than one cable at WalMart. I hoped to get it on the 23rd, but I realize that I missed their cut-off time. Today I have been waiting all day for the shipment. I figured it would come early in the morning and then I could get my new BluRay player set up. It is now 6:16, and the UPS man has been here to pick up another package, and he came empty handed. My order doesn't show an origin scan from Monoprice, just a note that says Electronic Billing Received. The UPS guy said that means they didn't get the package. I called at noon to ask what was up, and they told me it could still come today. Well, it didn't. Monoprice says they can't track the package until Monday. I called back a few minutes ago and asked if they were going to prepare another package and send it for Saturday delivery. She put me on hold and came back and said they would contact me later today. We'll see.
I'm not getting charged shipping, but I also don't have my cables. I know it's a small thing, but when you spring for the fast shipping, you expect things to happen. I should have gone with priority mail and it would have come no later than tomorrow. This way, they probably won't even ship it until Monday, and it will be Wednesday when I get it. That's a week! Sheesh. I ordered one cable by priority mail and got it in two days.
I don't think this is representative of their service, but I think they have some ammends to make on this order.
