Flood of iPhone 3.1 problems?

TUAW reports a iPhone 3.1 problems flooding their tip box. I haven't upgraded yet, I was about to when I saw this, now I'm having second thoughts. Any iPhone owners here have good/bad results with 3.1?

I've got 3.1 on my IPhone 3GS. No problems so far. Then again, I never used OS 3.0 or earlier, so I can't offer experiences about the earlier OSs. Also, no problems with OS 3.1.1 on an IPod Touch 2G.

Same here. Jailbreak 3.1 released, so that's no longer a barrier. I've been waiting, too. But now I wonder if I should wait for Apple to update again, since 3.1 appears to be problematic for some users.

Just an iPhone problem or do the problems also effect the iPod Touch?

My wife has had two crashes since updating her first generation iPhone to 3.1 -- one while Mail was switching from portrait to landscape, another while searching for something in Contacts. That's two more crashes than she had in the last six months under 2.x.
