Did you know about 15% discount on T-Mobile plans for some colleges?

I'm not sure if this was posted when it first came out, but I just found out about it and thought it might help someone else. Here is a list of the schools that are supposed to have the program. I can confirm that the University of Georgia's discount is 15% for students. I don't know if alumni get that or not. I had to give them my daughter's UGA email address and student ID# and that was all. I did it via online chat that from the link below. I put in "student/alumni discount" as my subject and it took about 5-10 minutes via the online chat. There is also a number you can call that is list on the link below.

If it's anything like AT&T's deal, that should read "up to 15% discount..."

My association with a college supposedly qualified me for a 15% discount, but AT&T only gives me 5% off. When I asked about it, I was told that 15% is only for certain members of the school administration and everyone else gets 2.5-5%.

It's not well known, but various unions and other organizations have discounts that they negotiate for their constituents. If you're in a union it's probably worth following up on.

I get a 20% discount on AT&T through my company. Former employer discount was just under 22%. It applies to voice and data plans, with the exception of the unlimited voice plan.

FYI for anyone reading this thread who might be interested, T-Mo also offers ~15% discounts to employees of scads of different companies and universities. All Federal employees are eligible. Verizon has similar discounts. I can say that when I registered with T-mo it was also online chat and they asked for my email address but did not send any verification email or ask for any substantiation. Several good threads on Fatwallet regarding these deals list many eligible companies.
