We get virtually no reception with GSM carriers at our house. I wanted to try a CDMA carrier like Verizon, but I did not want to pay Verizon's prices, so I am trying Page Plus prepaid.
My mother-in-law gave me an old Verizon Moto V60 that was long off contract and, since she found the charger, I decided to activate it on Page Plus to see what kind of service and coverage I could get. So far the reception at home is a lot better than AT&T or T-Mobile. I haven't tested it out in the wild, but it should be even better, since we are in a dead zone at home.
Right now, I just have the 50 minutes that came with my 99ยข eBAY activation, but I see that they have a couple of good plans for heavier usage. Has anyone here had good or bad experiences with Page Plus? I would just like to check for recommendations before I fully commit to the service.
I was also considering Straight Talk, but since I they use proprietary phones, I decided to try PP first, since I had the free old phone. I read that if I want to get a better phone, I can use the Verizon Prepaid phones and activate with PP.
BTW, I could not believe how quickly the eBAY dealer activated my phone. I had a working local number in about 5 minutes.
