If it wasn't before, it's official now... A&E TV has Jumped the Shark: "Steven Seagal: Deputy Sheriff"

Yes, that's right...
A new reality TV show on Arts and Entertainment channel..

Steven Seagal: Deputy Sheriff.

I'm just that much closer to doing away with TV all-together...

(Which wouldn't be a bad thing... it's just going to take some weaning off it.. I'm not sure I could take going cold turkey... which reminds me, I have to go have some leftover turkey now...)

I might have to download the season as torrents if it makes it that far.

Ugh. I remember (cue old person voice) when A & E (and Bravo) had a line up of great theatre classics with Sir Anthony Hopkins or Sidney Poitier. This was only a whopping 15 years ago. How trashy they have both become. Feh!

Bravo was the "arts" network, jointly run by Cablevision and MGM before NBC bought it. I remember when their daytime programming used to be mostly ballet and opera.

Allegedly, it represents NBC's attempt to cater to young gay audiences. (I guess that's a hot demographic.)

I'm not gay ('thought that might be worth mentioning), but I do regularly watch two shows on Bravo, "Top Chef" and "Inside the Actors Studio." If I'm working at home in the morning, I put it on to catch "West Wing" reruns.

When I saw the commercial for Steven Seagal's new flop; I thought it was a joke.

He's been a lawman for 20 years? Is that like Elvis having an FBI badge?
