What the heck? Why are people paying so much for mini g4?

My low cost idea just got shut down, mini G4 are going for way too much even the 1.25ghz model on ebay. People on ebay are nuts.

Ditto with craigslist, where there should be some bargains available. I've thought about using an early mini as a server/media center but it's generally cheaper to buy new or refurb than to pay through the nose for used minis that need upgrades.

Hmm... I wonder what people think they're getting.

I just sold one for $125 and counted myself lucky to get that much for a Mac that can't play streaming video without choking.
