Well folks on the East Coast, how much snow did you get? Pics, BW warning!

We got about 6-7" here in central NC. We got another burst of snow this evening.
It was a very strange snow for us, it looked and felt like manmade snow from the
ski resorts, really fine granules. Grandpa always said thunder in the winter means
snow within 11 days and it made good on it after last Sunday's storm that dumped
3.2" in about 4 hours plus lightning and thunder. I've seen that old tale come true
so many times here where we live. One weatherman once said there was some truth
to that in that it meant there was a strong cold front coming through in the winter.

Mmmm! ground feed.

We've got about that much up here in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Still snowing here lightly, though it should stop in the next several hours. I just wish it would come during the week so I could miss work ;-)

Temperature has dropped to 66° and the cats don't want to go out.

In Ocean City, MD we got about 8", that's pretty good for around here. The ocean temp, even in the high 30's will, a lot of the time, moderate the temp so we get 34 degree rain instead of snow.

It's really beautiful, but all the kids wished it snowed Sunday and closed schools on Monday!

Grateful, we had a thunderstorm last week too. I guess your grandfather was right. I remember back in the 80's in Baltimore it thundered a lot, during a big snow storm.

Here in the Atlanta area we got that awful rain that you did last week, but luckily we missed out on the snow. We got a little sleet yesterday, but mostly just a cold rain last night.
