It must be winter

About three quarters of the U.S. currently has snow on the ground.

There's a lot of snow much farther south than I would have expected.

After that freakish warmup and rain from about a week ago, we have a hell of a lot less than normal.

That map looks kind of strange too, compared to previous years.

Strangely, Toronto has had almost no snow this winter. It is dry and brown there.

Anybody notice estimated snowfalls have been really incorrect lately? The last 2 storms in New Jersey dumped 3 times what was predicted.

Whistler Mountain has plenty of snow but the other site--close to Vancouver--is having problems with too much warm weather. Apparently, Vancouver just had the warmest January on record.

That's weird. We've had one of the coldest Jan. on record here in NC. I guess the cold must be
skipping over them ;-). It's an El Nino year so it's going to be messed up. They were calling
for 9 here tonight but they've bumped it up to 14, a heatwave!
