Looking For Free Mac Software

I'm NEW to Apple Mac and I really miss the free programs that are so readily available for Windows PC's . I don't want to mix Windows with my Mac, so can anyone link me to a Very Good supply of FREE , all kinds of software for my MacBook Pro Snow Leopard ? One thing in particular I'm looking for is a Free File Duplicator locater for any type file.

The dupes software was a thread just a few days ago.

versiontracker.com lists 23,000 applications for Mac OS X. A large portion of those are freeware.
