Just opened my brand new 1.66 GHz Mac Mini
#1
Got it a couple of years ago (or more) at a CompUSA. I had gotten a CompUSA gift card in Bloomington, MN for an iBook 500 MHz G3 with a dead battery back when CompUSA was overpaying (with a gift card) for the iBooks. Then CompUSA closed all its local stores. Delivered a load south of Des Moines, IA which still had an open store so I stopped in and spent my gift card (plus about $75) for this Mac Mini I had no use for. I thought I would crank it up today and let it fold for a bit, later I'll probably Craigslist it.

1.66 Intel Core Duo
512 MBs RAM
CDRW/DVD
60 GB HD
Airport/Bluetooth
Remote

Glad it has Airport because I seem to have used up all the 12 ports on my router and switch.

Yup, cut the seal. Haven't removed the plastic wrapped around the Mini. A lot of Minis have gone for $400 on eBay. Maybe I should have listed it as NIB before cutting the seal!!!

How much do you want for it? I'm interested.

Our 1.66 is our newest/fastest. I only ended up paying like $100 some for it a couple years ago. (depending upon how one does math)
You JUST NOW opened it?

Thanks, but not for sale. Just created my user account. Booted into 10.4.7, iLife '06. Software update launched. I'm stoked.

Doesn't sound like you need it though. No poor people in your life?

I gave away, through a local non-profit, about 20 Macs. Now I keep them for myself because most people seem to be able to afford a computer of some type. They may have to follow the recycle truck but they are out there. I did give a G4 Mini to the same non-profit about 6 months ago and about a month ago a new color laser printer. My personal computer is a G5 2.3.

I have a G4 Mini not new in box. Are they worth anything these days?
