Thanks for being great friends.

Thank you for all the thoughts, prayers and kind words.

Spent time with my sister over the weekend. She is definitely taking it hard. It's going to take a while for me to sort through all the feelings but it's great to know I have support from friends.

Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear of your travails. My best to you and your family.

And, yes, this is a great group of folks.

"...Get by with a little help from my friends" is truer and truer every day. We're all pulling for you and your family. I hope that your sister is using the resources that Hospice provides. She's no doubt dealing with 'survivor guilt'... active caretakers tend to beat themselves up more with the sort of "If I had only done...." kind of thought processes.

You'll find the time to tell the stories about positive interactions and negative interactions with your father. Write 'em down.. they will become useful explaining the relationships to family and friends.

Missed the first thread, but hang in there, and cherish whatever good memories you have of your father. Events like this always serve to remind me to avoid hauling regrets around until it's too late.

Pulling for you. J

I also missed out on the first thread. I'm so sorry for your loss. Keep your sister close to you, she probably will need your support quite a lot.

Blessings to you.

Take care. My sympathy to you and your sister.

Keep the thought that you (and your sis) did everything possible, and don't regret.
