Gizmodo says the new 15" MBP is "so fast"

http://gizmodo.com/5516050/macbook-pro-1...ts-so-fast

"The new 17 and 15-inch MacBook Pros with Core i5/i7 processors are fast. Fast. Overall I'd say they're about 50% faster than the last gen Core 2 Duos, which is about the same bump the iMacs got with Core i7."

Is it naturally aspirated? Or Turbo-Charged...

It's so fast...it can put on a mini skirt, and Tiger Woods still can't catch it!

Close. It's got "Turbo Boost." No joke, scroll down: http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/features.html

Nothing but speed. And more speed.

The MacBook Pro lineup starts with advanced Intel Core 2 Duo processors running at up to 2.66GHz. And things only get faster from there. The 15- and 17-inch models now feature the latest Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors — the fastest dual-core processors on the market — which reach Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.33GHz. With up to 4MB of shared L2 or L3 cache, MacBook Pro runs applications up to 50 percent faster than before.5

Does that now make the Trash the "waste gate?"

Faster everything, huh?

Let's see, it still has only 2 USB ports. What did the original iMac come with when it came with USB?

Ok, so that doesn't have to do with speed. Let's see here...

- Still USB2, no USB3.
- Screen refresh seems to still be 60Hz
- Still has Gb ethernet, not 10Gb
- FW800. No faster alternative, but certainly isn't "faster everything"
- Bluetooth, 802.11n... also not faster than before
- Still only 8x DVD-R

The processors are obviously faster, and the graphics are updated (though Apple is always lagging in this department), but "Faster everything" isn't even close to being accurate.
