I received an email from forum member RgrF's (Roger) grandson the other day. I'll post it here, having redacted any personal information. If anyone has anything special to pass on, PM me. I really don't know more than what's below, and it's been a month, but I'll try and pass along messages that you might not want posted publicly here in the forum.
Dear XXXXXXXX

My name is Daniel XXXXXXXX.
Roger XXXXXXXX is my grandfather and he asked me to write you this note. On April 1 he had a lower tract aneurysm and was in the surgery ward for 14 hours. The next day he was brought back for stomach surgery and the next day he had an upper track aneurysm and is still in the hospital. We hope he will be out soon. He asked me to go to his email site and try and sort things out for him but that's impossible, he has way too many of them. No one outside our family knows about this. He said the simplest thing would be if I send you a notice and you'd know what to do with the information, so here it is:

Wow...I have a signed $20 bill from him for a free item Monday (for the shipping charges). The story behind why he sent it besides a check was humorous. For some reason I didn't want to use it and have always kept it in the wallet. Hope all turns out well...

I was wondering where he had been lately, but being baseball season I figured that
he was just busy with his team and dropped out for awhile.

Pops - please let Danny know that we all wish Roger a speedy recovery and
hope that he is back with us soon.

Ya know, just yesterday I was wondering about why he hadn't posted in awhile. I figured he was just fed up with the daily blathering of the MR forum clown and decided to take a break from the nonsense.

Get well soon, Rog! You can get past this setback. Stay tough!
