Bike follow up - davemchine - 06-03-2014 I recently posted that I backed my car over my daughters bike bending the frame. Initially the bike dealership was not very helpful but today I visited them and was offered a resolution. They are going to sell me a bike off the floor at a little over half price. The manufacturer is going to reimburse them and call it a crash replacement. I think everybody is happy. Especially my daughter who will have a new bike tomorrow afternoon! Re: Bike follow up - mattkime - 06-03-2014 Wow, not bad! You might consider tipping whoever helped you. Bike shops are rarely very profitable and a couple dollars here or there ensure you'll get first class treatment. Some of the best bike money I've spent. Re: Bike follow up - steve... - 06-04-2014 That is great customer service. (tu) Re: Bike follow up - kj - 06-04-2014 Wow, that's really nice! kj. The Phorum freaked out. - RAMd®d - 06-04-2014 There was a problem communicating with SMTP: There was a problem reading line 1 of an SMTP response. The response so far was: []. It appears the connection has died without saying goodbye to us! Too many emails in one go perhaps? (fsockopen: #0) Re: Bike follow up - cbelt3 - 06-04-2014 Wow.. that IS impressive. Time to pick out a nice carbon fiber bike for yourself from that shop, and make sure you add the bling. ![]() Re: Bike follow up - WHiiP - 06-04-2014 I would say her seat needs to be adjusted upward . . . Re: Bike follow up - davemchine - 06-04-2014 whiip, you are correct about the seat. The day that picture was taken she moved from a child's bike from toys-r-us to this first semi-adult bike. She insisted on having the seat way low. After riding it for a few days she started increasing the height and is now used to a normal seat height. The bike we are picking up today is the same Giant model but she is moving from a petite to a small frame. A solid step up. Thanks. |
