First Look: Google Desktop for Mac - elmo3 - 04-08-2007 http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,130416-c,utilities/article.html Re: First Look: Google Desktop for Mac - wurm - 04-08-2007 Looks interesting. Although I must admit, as much as I cursed Spotlight for starting to search before letting me finish entering a search term, it has found things I thought I had long ago tossed out. I find myself using it more rather than less. Re: First Look: Google Desktop for Mac - MacMagus - 04-08-2007 Beware: http://ansemond.com/blog/?p=78 Re: First Look: Google Desktop for Mac - elmo3 - 04-08-2007 well, I did say the other day: Google stuff is spyware. Noticed that it took 40% of my BlackBook's resources, even when not active. Noticed the items that ansemond.com noticed. Uninstalled. Dunno why I even wanted it. Just curious I guess. Re: First Look: Google Desktop for Mac - freescotland - 04-08-2007 Why not just use Locator as an alternate to Spotlight? fast, clean I agree with some of the links, I use gmail regularly but would never install something with the potential to cause so many problems. |
