Wow, a three year machine will not work with Lion. That sucks.

Where did that come from, Bernie?

It says Lion will work with a Xeon processor so how can that be right?

I don't really get this??? :oldfogey:

AFAIK, my computer, Model Name: Mac Pro/ Model Identifier: MacPro1,1/ Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon, is capable of 64 bit processing.

I've seen the option to switch to 64 bit in a number of applications, so shouldn't I be able to use Lion?

Yes. I'm not sure what Bernie is thinking.
